Philip Murphy has been teaching golf for over 45 years. He has been a PGA professional since 1982.

He partnered with Lynne Sweeney in 1992 to create Murphy Sweeney Golf School.

The Golf School is family run and based in Athlone, Ireland.

Junior golf is our passion and we offer classes to boys and girls from age 5, starting off with our unique and fun Stadium Concept Programme and progressing to traditional golf classes.

Adults are welcome too. We cater for all levels of ability, from total beginners to professional standard. Classes can be taken alone or as part of a group.

Corporate Entertainment, Fun Events and Parties can be totally tailored to your needs. Using our Stadium Concept track, the driving range and par3 course at Mount Temple GC a fun day is guaranteed.
